Memorials have been supplying new memorials, renovations, cleaning and
additional inscriptions to existing memorials to the people of the Highlands
and Islands of Scotland for over 30 years.
Fraser Downie has been with Stokes for 22 years after serving a 4 year apprenticeship. In that time, Ronnie Stokes taught Fraser the skill of hand carving, having himself learned the skill from a generation of hand carvers. This skill is hardly taught any more and with Fraser's experience, Stokes has the advantage of being able to offer a first class service by combining the art of carving with the use of computers to design the memorial and lettering style to suit your needs. We believe in individuality and we will never sell you what we want, but what you need for a loved one.
